Sue Oiler Dowse is a transplant to Nebraska from West Virginia via Indiana and Illinois. She studied art at Herron School of Art of IUPUI (Indianapolis), Olney Central College (Olney, IL), and in varied workshops after establishing residence in Nebraska in 1986. Her favorite mediums, ink and water color, have often been combined in award-winning pieces. Her offerings are varied: faux scrimshaw done on escapala and jawbone of buffalo, cow, bull and swine; oils; portraits; acrylics; and painted furniiture. More of her work can be seen at Sod House Creations Art & Gift Gallery at Wescott Corners southwest of Comstock, NE.
