Rose Ann Albracht -   Calligraphy
Rose Ann Schumacher Albracht, now in her senior years, considers her introduction to the Arts by the memorable Sisters of Wisconsin, teachers at the small school at Lindsay, Ne, her greatest delight---Choir & the Gregorian Chant, two yrs Latin, the Arts in all mediums, and her favorite, Calligraphy.

Aafter graduation she joined her older sister working at Mutual Benefit at Omaha.  They lived near Joslyn Museum and made many a visit there and to the Orpheum.

In 1946, marriage and four children  (and now 6 grands), living in Columbus, NE 20 years,  and then on to Broken Bow, where her husband, a manufacturing engineering manager, took her along to United Kingdom where he assisted at the new plant at Plymouth.  She enjoyed the museums & galleries there.

Other countries were a great influence in her art and life--a Youth for Understanding student at their home from Tokyo, Japan for 13 months and then a visit to Paris and the Louvre with her son Gregg and his family, a fine arts photographer with his own galleries in Santa Fe, NM.

Rose Ann Albracht has been a member of Arrow Artists in Broken Bow and some of her works were chosen to go to the state Association of Nebraska Art Clubs' show competition.  She has also given gifted elementary school children lessons in Calligraphy and has presented programs at a Halsey workshop.

Through trial and error she has completed her "Albracht's Alphabet All Occasion" note cards which are sold from her home.
